Karrina and Lorran
Two practitioners, one standard
A private studio in Garforth offering permanent makeup, advanced skin treatments and everyday beauty care, with time taken over every one of them.
The approach
Subtle by design
The brief is nearly always the same. People want to look like themselves on a good day, not like they have had something done. That sounds simple and it is the hardest thing to get right, because it depends entirely on reading the face in front of you rather than applying a house style to everyone.
So every treatment starts with a proper look at your features, your skin and how you actually live. Someone who is up at five for the school run needs something different from someone who has time to sit at a mirror. Both are valid. The treatment should fit the life, not the other way round.
It also means saying no sometimes. If a treatment is not right for your skin, or the result you have in mind is not one that will heal well, you will be told that at the consultation rather than after the fact.
Meet Karrina
Permanent makeup artist and skin specialist
Karrina works across brows, lips and skin, and is known for results that are soft enough that people notice the face rather than the work. Precision matters to her more than speed, which is why appointments are longer than you might expect and why she would rather do fewer treatments properly.
She trains continually and is particular about what she uses, from pigments through to the polynucleotide skin boosters on the skin side. Anything that goes into a client's skin has to justify itself.
Permanent Makeup Clinic of the Year
Meet Lorran
Beauty therapist
Lorran looks after the beauty side of the studio, from brows and lashes through to nails, tanning and waxing. She is the one most clients see between their bigger appointments, and the reason the finish still looks right six weeks later.
Warm, unhurried and meticulous about detail, she is good at the appointments where somebody arrives unsure what they actually want and leaves with something that suits them.
What to expect
How an appointment works
Permanent makeup and skin treatments are a process rather than a single visit. Knowing the shape of it up front takes most of the nerves out of a first appointment.
-
01
Consultation
Your features, your skin and what you want from it. Medical history is reviewed and suitability is assessed in person before anything is booked.
-
02
Design
Shape drawn on and adjusted with you until it is right, and pigment matched to your colouring. Nothing starts until you are happy with what you can see in the mirror.
-
03
Treatment
Unhurried, with a topical numbing cream used throughout. Most people find it far more comfortable than they expected going in.
-
04
Healing
Colour softens over the first week or two as the skin heals. You go home with written aftercare and a review appointment to check how it has settled.
Come and talk it through
Book a consultation
No obligation and no pressure. Bring photographs of what you like, or nothing at all, and Karrina will tell you honestly what will and will not work for you.
