Booking and treatment
Terms and conditions
What you can expect from us, and what we ask of you in return.
Last updated: 27 July 2026
These terms apply to all treatments and appointments with Karrina Crystal PMU & Skin Specialist of 21 White Rose Way, Garforth, Leeds, LS25 2EF. Booking an appointment means you accept them.
1. Booking
Appointments can be booked through our online booking system, by telephone, or by message. Your appointment is confirmed once you receive confirmation from us.
Where a deposit is required to secure your appointment, it is deducted from the final price and is retained if you cancel with less than 72 hours' notice. The amount is confirmed when you book.
2. Age
We cannot carry out permanent makeup on anyone under the age of 18 under any circumstances. Permanent makeup is tattooing, and tattooing a person under 18 is a criminal offence under the Tattooing of Minors Act 1969. Parental consent makes no difference to this and we cannot accept it.
Photographic identification may be requested. If you cannot provide it, the appointment will not go ahead.
Beauty and skin treatments are available from age 16, with a parent or guardian present at the consultation and the appointment, and with their written consent. Some treatments have a higher minimum age and this will be explained at consultation.
3. Consultation, patch tests and suitability
Most treatments begin with a consultation and a health and lifestyle questionnaire. You must give us accurate and complete information. Some conditions, medications and circumstances make a treatment unsafe or make the result unpredictable.
A patch test is required at least 48 hours before any treatment involving pigment or tint if you have not had that treatment with us before. Without one, the appointment cannot go ahead.
We may decline to treat you, or recommend something different, if we do not believe the treatment you have asked for is right for you. This is a professional judgement and it is not negotiable. Where this happens, any deposit is transferred to a suitable alternative appointment or refunded.
4. Cancelling or rescheduling
We kindly ask for a minimum of 72 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Appointments are held for you and are often long. When one is cancelled at short notice that time cannot usually be filled, which is why this notice period matters.
With less than 72 hours' notice, any deposit is retained. For a cancellation on the day of the appointment, or where you do not attend, up to 50 per cent of the treatment price may be charged to cover the time reserved for you.
We understand that illness and emergencies happen. Get in touch and we will be as fair as we can be.
5. Late arrival
If you arrive late we will do what we can, but your treatment may have to be shortened or rebooked so that later clients are not affected. If you are more than 15 minutes late the appointment may be treated as a cancellation under clause 4.
6. Missed appointments
An appointment missed without notice is treated as a cancellation under clause 4. We reserve the right to ask for full payment in advance for future bookings.
7. If we have to cancel
If we have to cancel or move your appointment we will tell you as soon as we can and offer the earliest suitable alternative. Any deposit is refunded in full if you would rather not rebook.
8. Results
Every treatment is carried out with reasonable care and skill. However, results vary from person to person and depend on your skin, your health, your lifestyle and how closely you follow the aftercare. We cannot and do not guarantee a specific result.
Permanent makeup fades and changes over time. Healed results differ from how a treatment looks on the day. Photographs shown on this website and on social media are of real clients and are representative of good results, not a promise of your own.
9. Top-ups and colour boosts
Permanent makeup usually needs a second appointment six to twelve weeks after the first, once the initial result has healed. Whether this is included in your treatment price is confirmed when you book.
Top-ups requested more than twelve months after the original treatment are charged as a new treatment. Correction or cover of work carried out elsewhere is charged separately and always requires a consultation first.
10. Aftercare
You will be given aftercare instructions. Following them is your responsibility and it materially affects the result. We cannot accept responsibility for outcomes caused by aftercare not being followed, or by picking, sun exposure, swimming, sunbeds, or the use of unsuitable products during healing.
If something does not seem right during healing, contact us promptly rather than waiting.
11. Prices and payment
Prices are confirmed at the time of booking or consultation. We reserve the right to change prices, but never for an appointment already confirmed.
Payment is due on the day of treatment. We accept card and cash.
Gift vouchers, where purchased, are valid for twelve months from the date of issue, are not exchangeable for cash, and cannot be replaced if lost.
12. Aesthetic treatments
Aesthetic treatments are consultation-led. Suitability is assessed in person and a treatment plan is only discussed once that assessment has taken place. We do not advertise prescription-only medicines and we cannot discuss them by phone, message or email before a consultation.
13. Children and guests
The studio is a small private space and treatments require concentration. We ask that you attend alone, unless you need a carer or interpreter with you, or a parent or guardian is required under clause 2. Please do not bring children to appointments.
14. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 our services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and we do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Our liability is otherwise limited to the price paid for the treatment in question.
15. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of your treatment, please contact us within 14 days so we can look at it and put it right where we can. Email info@karrinacrystal.com or call 07926 928242.
16. Your information
How we handle your personal and health information is set out in our privacy policy.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your appointment is the one published when you booked.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
